COVID-19 UPDATE #6 – Return to Phase 1
19 November 2020
Dear Friends:
Earlier today, Dr, Bonnie Henry, the Public Health Officer for British Columbia, placed new restrictions effecting public gatherings. The Diocese of Caledonia is returning to Phase 1 of our Re-opening Plan.
This means that effective today:
All in-person worship is suspended, with the exception of previously planned weddings and funerals. These are limited to 10 people, including the clergy.
All church meetings, prayer groups, and Bible Studies will continue online.
All clergy are encouraged to work from home.
Pastoral calls to all parish members are encouraged by the clergy, wardens, lay readers, or by phone-tree ministries.
A.A., Food Banks, and Soup Kitchens may continue with their critical ministry following our established plans. Additionally, please contact local health safety officers for their directions and wisdom.
The Synod Office and all parish offices are closed to the public.
Please pray for those who are struggling with CoVid-19, for those who will find these restrictions difficult, for our clergy and lay readers as they lead the congregations in these stressful days, and for all who are isolated and lonely.
